How to Measure Your Helmet Size Correctly: To find the right helmet size, measure your head circumference with a flexible measuring tape.
It is important that the measuring tape runs at the widest point of the head – only then will you get an accurate result.
Place the measuring tape about 1–2 cm above the eyebrows at the front and run it along the sides above the ears.
At the back, the measuring tape should run over the largest point at the back of the head (not too deep in the neck). The tape may run slightly diagonally – what matters is that it fits snugly around the largest circumference points of the head.
Make sure the measuring tape is snug but not cutting in. It’s best to measure 2–3 times to get the most accurate result. You can then compare the measured value in centimeters (cm) with our size chart.
Tips for an Accurate Result
- Lay hair flat (e.g., do not measure with a voluminous hairstyle)
- Run the measuring tape horizontally or along the largest circumference
- Do not measure too loosely
- For values between two sizes:
→ usually choose the larger size (depending on helmet model/fit)
Important for Fit
The right helmet should fit snugly without causing uncomfortable pressure points.
A new helmet may feel a bit tighter at first, as the inner padding will adjust slightly over time.

Lightweight with attitude
For the X-PRO Carbon version Nexx quotes approx. 1,325 g ± 50 g (M shell). Many sport and touring helmets weigh considerably more. You will notice it whenever your head is working against a force:
- hanging off, as you look through a long right-hander
- on the straight, chin on the tank
- on a quick shoulder check at high speed
The XXS-S shell comes out a little lighter, XL-XXL a little heavier.
Safety without compromise
- Approved to ECE 22.06, the current European standard with more impact points and oblique impact tests
- Double-D chin strap with lightweight Peraluman rings
- Magnetic X-Lock secures the loose strap end
- Emergency system: rescuers pull out the cheek pads before removing the helmet
- Reflectors on the shell for riding at night
Thought through to the last detail
The Recoil visor has become more compact, locks into three positions between open and closed, and is secured by the X-Race lock at high speed. Tear-off pins are prepared. The rear spoiler grows by up to 20 mm with a slide-in extender. Inside, the 360° Custom Fit with interchangeable pads gives a firm fit, and the X-Mart Dry liner is removable, washable and glasses-friendly. For fresh air: 8 intakes, 5 exhausts and the Air-Cumbs chamber.
Important: visors, Pinlocks and spoiler parts from the older X.R3R do not fit the X.R5R.
The design: Gravix in carbon and white
Gravix is a graphic design, not a full paint job. The crown, the area around the eye port and the rear half of the shell show bare carbon weave under glossy clear coat. White surfaces cover the forehead above the visor, the upper part of the spoiler and a broad sweep across the chin bar and lower cheek. On top sits the Nexx lettering, large in black, with the last letters continuing in white onto the carbon – the logo visibly travels from one surface to the next. A small red detail sits at the bottom of the neck roll. White shows bugs and rubber marks faster but stays cooler in the sun. Clean the carbon with a damp microfibre cloth and keep harsh solvents away from the lettering.
